The Avenues
is one of the most momentous development in the
retail industry of Kuwait. It is set to elevate the
shopping experience in Kuwait to international
levels and will establish new benchmarks and
standards throughout the industry.
Completed in April 2007, and April 2008 for Phases
I & II respectively , it has a number of features
that places a shopping trip to The Avenues
not only above that of its competitors, but also

Anchor tenants so far are Carrefour, Ikea, 10 screen
cinema “Cinescape ’’ as well as Al Shaya Group. In
Addition to this, The Avenues offers
it’s shoppers around 250 stores, 35 restaurants,
cafes and coffee shops, a family entertainment
center and a food court that is veritable Theatre of
Food. The extent of demand for space in the mall is
borne out by the fact that the developer have had in
excess of 700 applications from prospective tenants.
The mall, which is the largest in Kuwait by a
considerable margin, is being developed by Mabanee
Company on a 425,000 m2 divided into 3 phases in the
Al-Rai Area. The site is bounded by Fifth Ring Road
to the south, Al-Ghazali Expressway to the east and
mohammed bin Al-Qassim Street to the west.
Upon completion of The Avenues will have:

The development of the remaining phases is currently
under progress by the master planners and
consultants and completion of the project is set for
2011 .
